Cottage Love #15 – Beach Chic!

I’ve long admired designer David Netto’s aesthetic, with Fall in full swing I’m really turning my thoughts and time inward, both literally and figuratively. I’m focusing on my home and have a goal to finish the entire interior before Christmas!! Fingers crossed!
This David Netto designed water front home is perfection! I love the use of wood and paint. Paint is a wonderful way to transform your home, even on a smaller budget. Here, David has done so masterfully with his color choices and strategies.  The painted floors, ceilings and interior of the bookshelves look divine. I also love the use of whitewashed/bleached flooring. I actually have a floor being re-done as we speak for a client right this week! We are having the floors sanded and white washed. I also have a decorative painter coming in to paint an octagonal pattern over an area! I’m so excited to see the outcome!! Eek!
These blue floors are fabulous!!

Cottage Love #17

Ever since I came across Chloe Warner’s work about 6-7 years ago I have been a fan. She worked with Kelly Wearstler (another risk taker) before striking out on her own. I think the reason why I enjoy her designs so much is that they aren’t overly formulaic looking. Chloe’s spaces flow seamlessly and look as if they have evolved over time.
These images are of her own home she shares with her husband and two children.

Cottage love #16

Hello, hello…I’m back with another beautiful home on this gorgeous Monday ;)… I am always so excited to come across an inspiring home to share with you all. This week’s beauty is Kathryn Stockett’s (the author of the book, The Help) fabulous abode. It is located in a suburb of Atlanta and it does not disappoint.

I will be forever drawn to white bungalows and this version with the addition of large iron windows is a stunner! I honestly can say I would take the outside view of this house in a second, just add a pool and I’d be in heaven. All images courtesy of Atlanta Homes + Lifestyles magzine.

Those doors!

Rachel Zoe at home

I haven’t posted a swanky interior lately. So today I’m sharing this stylish ladies chic abode.
Enjoy! I’m off on another adventure…I’ll be sure to share a post on Thursday! xo
I am LOVING this kitchen and large built in window seat. I am also obsessed with Milo Baughman dining (images below) chairs right now. I’d love a brass set someday when I actually have a dining room!!

I knew her closet wouldn’t disappoint.

house love…

I love featuring my “cottage love” series, especially because I began the posts before I found my own little home. Lately it has been more difficult to find smaller homes to feature. I chose to live near the ocean over a larger home. Don’t get me wrong, I love larger homes with plenty of storage and maybe I’ll eventually own one myself. I stumbled upon this home located in San Francisco designed by Palmer Weiss. The classic and clean lines are very welcoming. I admire homes with an abundance of natural light! A large sink with a row of windows above it much like this one is on my future dream home wish list!
PS. I’m loving my Carrara marble counter tops and large sink! I am so happy I went with that choice.
