Sneak Peek – Snapshots of my home!

I’ve received a number emails over the past few months asking to see some images of my own home! Let me begin by saying it’s a work in progress. As most designers can attest, I can conceptualize a client’s home down to the smallest detail but when it comes to my own home I {as my friend Erin from Elements of Style says} I have design A.D.D.! I know the cause, I LOVE so many styles and objects; it’s so hard to choose one direction for my own space or even two for that matter! I’ll share more photos when the rooms are completed! I’m focusing on the living and dining rooms now {when I can grab a moment here and there ๐Ÿ˜‰ that is…}. Happy Monday! My image board! My Office

  2. I can soooo relate to your indecision with your own home. I took 4 years to choose a fabric to put on my sofas. I think we are exposed to so many different styles and so many different tastes that some of rubs off and we are left floundering when it comes to our own place. I love the red chair infront of the dark wall. Never mind, what's the rush. We'll get there in the end.

  3. …got to you via ABT and I was not disapointed! Your home is beautiful, now I can't wait to see more!
I can totally understand the dificulty you are having designing your own home, MUCH more difficult than a client, for sure!!

  4. I recently found you blog and have been following it. I really like your style. Your home is lovely. I know about the designer ADD! It took me 5 years before I could break ground on my own home's design and it was difficult. I've shown my home my blog a few times (including this Tuesday's post) but it took a while to get it to this point.

I would like to invite you join my Timeless Tuesday link party. The premise is timeless beauty in various forms of design and art. I think your posts would fit in nicely and I feel great about promoting them. You do not need to wrote a special post either. Simply link up a post the you would like to share. It happens each Tuesday (I usually post it Monday night). Here is this week's link ~

I hope to have you become a regular!

  5. Love ever little detail! I'm sure you spend lots of time deciding about the details – but it's been well worth it judging how its all turning out.

Where is that white mirror or frame from – I adore it!

    Thanks for sharing!

  6. I am so glad I have found your blog. You have a beautiful home! I was lamenting something similar on a post the other day. I can help people with their designs pretty easily. But, for my own home I am often crippled by all of the options out there….and not waiting to commit to one style or another. The possibilities.
Congrats on your baby girl! I've added you to my blogroll. Excited to keep up.

  7. your house is just beautiful- I LOVE all the color and pattern going on. I have design ADD too so I totally understand your feeling on decorating your own space.

  8. So very beautiful. I am thrilled to see you did not succomb to the tired white and burlap and neutrals that EVERYONE is doing. It is so trendy and they will all be changing while yours has staying power. Just lovely!!

  9. I followed you over here from our mutual friend Elizabeth Hunt.

I have to say that I am very picky when it comes to Interior Designers and I LOVE your taste.

I could use you here in my new house near Aspen. Too bad I don't have a budget but one day I will and you will be first on my list!!

  10. Absolutely beautiful! I love it all!

Would you mind sharing where you got the mirror or frame that is above your black chest – I'd really appreciate it.

so glad you shared the space!

  11. i must have been living under a rock because i just found out about your blog via absolutely beautiful things… your apartment is looking fabulous! i myself am moving into a new apartment in two weeks and have a bay window identical to yours… i'm loving the large dining-ish pedestal table you used as opposed to something smaller! i added you to my blog roll ๐Ÿ™‚

  12. Found you thru ABT! I agree it's all so beautiful and vibrant! I have been doing the same thing, giving out just little glimpses because there are so many things I perceive as incomplete that others would no likel notice. Love to know what kind of camera that is…

  13. Thanks so much for all your amazing feedback. I truly appreciate it!!

I want to answer a few of your questions..I've been crazy lately..

Dining Room Paint – Turquoise Mist – Ben Moore
    Foyer Mirror – Ballard Designs
Lamps in Dining Room – Home Goods
White Chairs in Living Room – Pottery Barn
The coral chair – vintage – I had it upholstered
Gurgling Cod pitcher – Shreve Crump and Low (it gurgles when you pour water from it) It's a local favorite!!!

Most of this I've done on a budget!!

    Thanks again.

  14. fantastic! i love the bar set up and the chair in your office.

would you mind sharing the source for the rug in your office? i had a similar one but it met an untimely death (pet related) and i need a replacement.

  15. I love your office so cute! I read about you over on Made by Girl and I love your style, by chance could you tell me where you got that fabulous crystal clear little stool with the yellow top? Thanks so much!

  16. Hi Julie! I know this request is over a year late…but where is the turquoise stacked ball lamp, on your revamped grandmother's console, from? Thanks!!!
